Cue: Artists' Videos at Vancouver Art Gallery

January 23, 2010 - March 21, 2010

Vancouver Art Gallery

Robson Street, façade 750

Hornby Street, Vancouver

The Vancouver Art Gallery will turn its exterior into an open-air exhibition space with CUE: Artists’ Videos, a presentation of video art on the Gallery’s Robson Street façade.

CUE: Artists' Videos will feature many of the most innovative and compelling visual artists working in video and film today, including Yael Bartana’s Kings of the Hill. Seven programs range from works that address cinematic language in video to those that utilize performances made specifically for the camera, as well as works that examine the age of spectacle or speak to the everyday.

Curated by the Vancouver Art Gallery’s chief curator, Daina Augaitis, and one of the world’s foremost authorities on video art, New York-based Christopher Eamon, CUE: Artists’ Videos will bring the best of the world to Canada and present the best of Canada for the world to see.

Projections will run daily with a program that will be rotated throughout the exhibition.
