Lesley Heller is proud to present "Young Israelis", an exhibition of video art and related photographs curated by Lilly Wei. The exhibition will be on view June 16 through August 13, 2010.

In recent years, Israel has produced many innovative and exciting video artists such as Guy Ben-Ner, Doron Solomons, and Boaz Arad. Among the first Israeli video artists to achieve international recognition in the mid-90s, they have inspired the next generation, including many of the artists in this show, several of whom are former students.

The sixth installment of "Seven Easy Steps" video program will help you visualize your goals. Tonight's screening will offer the sacred guidance that will guide you towards Spiritual Ecstasies. Featured video artists include Larry Carlson, Jashin Friedrich, Koen Hauser, Kitty Huffman, Shana Moulton, Nira Pereg, Andrew Steinmetz, Jennifer Sullivan, Keith Telfeyan, Willie Thurlow, and Frank Zadlo.

Before and After (2008)

The Nathan Gottesdiener Foundation's "The Israeli Art Prize 2009", shortlisted artists include Erez Israeli, Nira Pereg, and Naama Tzabar. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, April 14 at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. The jury includes Professor Mordechai Omer, David Neuman, Daniella Luxemburg, Ellen Ginton, Nathan Gottesdiener. The finals judge is Catherine Grenier of the National Museum of Modern Art at the Centre Pompidou, Paris.

The exhibition "Stop Making Sense" presents nine artists who live and work in Israel and whose backgrounds are Europe, Maghreb, the Middle East, or Palestine (Israel before 1948). The purpose of the exhibition is to call attention to the complex cultural identities, the artistic legacy and the socio-political orientations that engage contemporary artists who live and work in Israel.
